Publication Ethics

Learning Nexus of Computing (LNC) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and ethical conduct in scholarly publishing. The journal expects all participants in the publication process—including authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher—to adhere to internationally accepted ethical principles and best practices in academic publishing.

The journal promotes originality, honesty, fairness, accountability, and respect for intellectual property throughout the submission, review, and publication process.

Responsibilities of Authors

Authors submitting manuscripts to LNC must ensure that:

  • The submitted work is original, authentic, and has not been published or submitted elsewhere.

  • All data presented are accurate, reliable, and honestly reported.

  • Fabrication, falsification, or manipulation of research data is strictly prohibited.

  • All sources of information are appropriately cited and acknowledged.

  • All listed authors have made significant scholarly contributions to the work.

  • The corresponding author has obtained the consent of all co-authors before submission.

  • Any financial support, funding, or potential conflicts of interest are fully disclosed.

  • Any significant errors identified after publication are promptly reported to the editorial office.

Responsibilities of Editors

Editors are responsible for:

  • Evaluating manuscripts solely on their academic merit, originality, quality, and relevance to the journal.

  • Maintaining fairness, impartiality, and confidentiality throughout the editorial process.

  • Ensuring that the peer review process is objective and unbiased.

  • Avoiding conflicts of interest in editorial decision-making.

  • Taking appropriate action when ethical concerns or research misconduct are identified.

  • Protecting the integrity of the scholarly record through corrections, retractions, or editorial notices when necessary.

Responsibilities of Reviewers

Reviewers are expected to:

  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding submitted manuscripts.

  • Provide objective, constructive, and timely evaluations.

  • Declare any conflicts of interest before accepting a review assignment.

  • Identify relevant published work that has not been cited.

  • Report any suspected plagiarism, duplicate publication, unethical research practices, or data inconsistencies to the editors.

  • Refrain from using unpublished information obtained during the review process for personal benefit.

Research Integrity

LNC is committed to preserving the integrity of scientific research. The journal does not tolerate:

  • Plagiarism

  • Self-plagiarism

  • Duplicate or redundant publication

  • Data fabrication

  • Data falsification

  • Image manipulation intended to mislead

  • Citation manipulation

  • Authorship manipulation or ghost authorship

  • Peer review manipulation

Any suspected misconduct will be investigated according to the journal's editorial procedures and may result in rejection, correction, retraction, or notification of relevant institutions.

Plagiarism Policy

All manuscripts are screened using appropriate plagiarism detection software before peer review.

The journal expects manuscripts to demonstrate a high level of originality. Submissions containing unacceptable levels of copied material, unattributed content, or duplicate publication may be rejected immediately.

Proper citation and acknowledgment of all previously published work are mandatory.

Authorship Criteria

Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made substantial contributions to:

  • Conceptualization or research design

  • Data collection, analysis, or interpretation

  • Manuscript drafting or critical revision

  • Final approval of the version submitted for publication

Individuals who do not meet these criteria should be acknowledged appropriately but should not be listed as authors.

Conflict of Interest

Authors, editors, and reviewers must disclose any financial, professional, institutional, or personal relationships that could influence the publication process or interpretation of research findings.

Where conflicts exist, appropriate measures will be taken to ensure an impartial editorial decision.

Confidentiality

Editors and reviewers shall treat all submitted manuscripts as confidential documents. Information obtained during the review process will not be disclosed to third parties or used for personal advantage.

Corrections, Retractions, and Expressions of Concern

If significant errors or ethical concerns are identified after publication, LNC may publish:

  • Corrections (Errata or Corrigenda)

  • Retractions

  • Expressions of Concern

  • Editorial Notes

These actions will be taken to maintain the accuracy and integrity of the scholarly record.

Ethical Oversight

Research involving human participants, animals, or sensitive data must comply with applicable institutional, national, and international ethical standards. Authors should provide evidence of ethical approval and informed consent where required.

Copyright and Intellectual Property

Authors are responsible for ensuring that all copyrighted materials used in their manuscripts have been appropriately acknowledged and that any necessary permissions have been obtained before publication.

Publication Decisions

The Editor-in-Chief has final responsibility for publication decisions. Editorial decisions are based solely on:

  • Scientific quality

  • Originality

  • Technical validity

  • Ethical compliance

  • Relevance to the journal's scope

Commercial interests, nationality, gender, institutional affiliation, race, religion, or political beliefs will not influence editorial decisions.
